Moms ‘N Charge® is Going to Disney! #ddaDisney

If you’ve been on my blog or followed me on social media for any length of time, then you know that I am all about dreaming big, and inspiring others to do the same. So when I first heard about the Disney Dreamers Academy a few years back, it immediately became a part of my blogger goals to be able to cover this event. Well, that goal is becoming reality as I head to Walt Disney World tomorrow for this very thing.

What is the Disney Dreamers Academy?  Glad you asked!

“Approximately 100 ‘Dreamers’ selected from thousands of applicants across the country for ninth-annual career and mentoring event taking place in March…

The students, are taken on stage and behind the scenes, where Disney theme parks become vibrant ‘classrooms’ and students discover new careers and pursue their dreams while also creating fun memories that last a lifetime.”

First of all, Disney truly is a magical place in and of itself. But to bring all of these students together for this opportunity of a lifetime is just absolutely amazing. As if there aren’t already enough reasons to love Disney, I know that these students’ lives will never be the same after attending this Academy.

This magical four-day career and educational event in Disney World is in its’ ninth year and is hosted by television host and radio personality, Steve Harvey and Essence Communications.

The purpose of this event is to encourage the youth to dream big. They will be able to participate in hands-on workshops, as well as learn things like leadership skills, how to communicate effectively and how to network. These Dreamers are also exposed to motivational speakers and popular celebrities who can share their own stories about what it truly means to dream BIG.

As a parent who is constantly talking to my own children about dreaming big, I am truly honored to be able to attend this event first-hand and witness the magic of what can happen when we just take the time to invest in our youth. If we can spend time helping them believe in their own dreams, they will soon see there is nothing they can’t achieve if they put their mind to it.

I’m so excited for you, this is indeed an opportunity of a life time. {Adding it my own vision board} I talk to the kids a lot about dreaming big. I share my dreams with them and allow them to see how they unfold.

I hear Steve Harvey talk about this on the radio all the time and it warms my heart. The stories frequently bring tears to my eyes. This is the feel good kind of work you set out to do. Only to discover you’ve been blessed even more than you expected.
