January Lessons That Will Give You a More Positive Outlook

January more positive

With January gone, or as I read somewhere, one twelfth of the year, I thought I’d reflect back on some valuable lessons learned. The very first one being, grab a hold of your time. Like many I’m sure, the year started off with me being really optimistic and enthusiastic. I still am and hope you are too. Know that you can achieve what you set out to accomplish this year. #GetItDone2017

Stand Together

I also learned that despite the present political landscape, we will overcome. Martin Luther King Jr marched for justice in 1963, and women all over America joined forced and marched justice in January. It was a sight to be seen, that women CAN come together, and stand together as one. So please don’t lose hope, things will get better.

Love. It. 💜✊ #womensmarch #takingbackhumanity #activism #resist #dallas #loveisarevolution #dallas #dumptrump

Take Care

Sometimes things get worse before they get better, but try to keep your focus on the end goal. Big issues and small issues alike, maintain your focus. Find the little things that will put a smile on your face, make you feel better. Don’t neglect your self-care, cause it’s when you take of yourself, that you can best take care of others.

One Win

I’m not sure how your January was, but I want you to think of one thing that you’re happy with. One win for the month. It’s easy to think we’ve accomplished nothing, but I’m sure if you think hard enough, you’ll remember something you’re glad you were able to get done. Doing this will encourage you to continue making strides in the month of February. And that’s my hope for you, that as each month progresses, you continue to make strides that lead towards your goal(s) for 2017.

Baby steps, big steps – it’s all good. Just keep stepping. Xo⠀ A photo posted by Cory Thomsen, CPCC (@corythomsen) on

One Win! That is a great idea. It’s easy to feel so far way from your goals but highlighting that one win can be a great motivator.

I completely agree Q!!! Sometimes our focus is too wide, but if we narrow it, we can definitely become more motivated to set out and accomplish our goals 🙂
