10 Key Lessons From Oprah’s Life You Want Weekend (Part 1)

Through sharing her story, from her mother and father’s first meeting to landing the now iconic role in The Color Purple to the present, Oprah imparted these juicy nuggets of wisdom:

1. Failure is just life moving you in a different direction.

Life is always speaking to you. Sometimes in the form of a whisper and, if you ignore the whisper, eventually in the form of a brick to the head.

2. Surrender.

After you’ve done all you can do, surrender to that which is greater than yourself.

3. Practice an Attitude of Gratitude. #NuffSaid

“Attitude determines your altitude”. What does your attitude say about where you are in life and where you want to go?

4. Have sunrise faith.

No matter the circumstance, hold on to the knowledge that the sun will rise on a brand new day tomorrow.

5. “You co-create your life with the energy of your INTENTION”

You have the power to create the life you really want. Be mindful of the energy you give your intentions.
