The Power of a Decision – Can You Stay Committed?

Life decision committed easter monday

As I sat down to write this blog post I felt I didn’t really have anything to share. On my own blog, that occasionally translates into no post at all. However on the Moms ‘N Charge site, I’m committed to posting a Motivational Monday post every Monday, even if it means staring at a blank screen until something pops up.

The thing with motivation is that it has to come from the heart. I can’t research motivation and just give y’all something random cause 1) you guys would be able to see through the fakeness in a millisecond, and 2) I loose all your trust and my credibility/authenticity as a result.

Keri Russell quote life decision easter monday

So what I did was ask Holy Spirit for what to say, and what I’ve learned is if you’re actually listening, you’ll get an answer. Too many times I think we ramble off a bunch of prayer requests and ask God a zillion question, and then leave it at that. Well if you were to ask your earthly father a question, I’m sure you’d expect an answer. Then how much more doesn’t your heavenly Father want to talk to you? He longs to have a relationship with you, and by definition, it’s a two-way street.

Religion has made it seem like all God’s ways are mysterious, their not! We’re just not listening. 2 Chronicles 20:20 says to believe in His prophets and you will prosper/succeed. He is omniscient, why wouldn’t He share? Are some things hidden? Sure. But don’t let the devil trick you into thinking everything is.

May have gone off on a tangent there, lol. What I really want to share is the power of a decision. It’s currently 1am, and this post was supposed to be live an hour ago. Yes it was Easter and I didn’t actually sit down on the computer until about 11:45, but I wasn’t leaving until I had a post.

So I’m motivating you to make a decision regarding something, anything this week, and stick to it! And when in doubt or need for clarity, ask the Lord to give it to you. “Ask and it will be given to you…” (Matt 7:7) He said it, and He can’t lie 🙂

Stay blessed!

Public accountability is said to be quite effective. Share what you’re committing to this week. Can be anything, big or small.
