Make This Your Year to Leap Forward

Leap year, leap forward

Happy Monday beautiful people! I had a conversation with a friend the other day and she was saying how this leap year (and apparently most leap years) is full of births and deaths. It’s apparently also full of marriages and divorces. Basically what she was getting at is that leap years are seldom “neutral” but tend to have extreme joyous or sad events.

LEAP FORWARD

I don’t know if I fully prescribe to this theory, however I can attest to a number of crazy events and, yes, everybody is seemingly pregnant, lol. For some reason, once February passes I tend to forget that this is even leap year. My friend reminding me of this fact however also reminded me of something Apostle John Eckhardt shared on Periscope at the beginning of the year. He declared that this leap year we’re going to leap forward.

LEAPS & BOUNDS

This will mean different things for different people, however I believe that it is partially a conscious effort to make happen. Declaring that we will leap forward may at first be interpreted as life being smooth sailing and therefore we’re moving forward by leaps and bounds. But did you know that the definition of leap is “jump or spring a long way, to a great height, or with great force” and “a forceful jump or quick movement”. Both definitions imply that YOU take action.

YOUR YEAR TO LEAP

So if you’ve found yourself on the sad side of this leap years’ “extremes”, I encourage you to still hold on to the promise that this is your year to leap forward. Mr. Right may not have thrown you a surprise wedding this year, and you may not have gotten that promotion you so desperately wanted. However that is not a reason to sit the rest of this year out. What man can do in a year, God can do in A DAY. Your year is not over yet. So stand tall, stand firm, take a leap of faith, and see what God will do for you.

Stay blessed!
