So we are now halfway through these #FLYMom tips to help you Reignite, Rediscover & Reconnect with Yourself. These are just a few of the tips to give you some insight on my next Dare to FLY workshop on Saturday July 13th. This workshop is a series in which I will feature different guests to help moms take charge of every area of her life. This upcoming workshop will feature my friend and Style Medic, T. Espinoza. T will show moms how to take their style from flatlined to fabulous, all while saving money in the process! And what mom doesn’t want to look good without breaking the bank?! Well I can assure you that T has done that many times for me, so I look forward to having her help you to do the same.
So here we are with Tip #5 in my countdown. If you missed tip #6 and what this countdown is all about, be sure to click here. In these next several days leading up to the workshop, I’ll be covering the most common subjects that seem to come up most when discussed amongst my mommy friends and groups. Have you ever felt like you’ve lost yourself in motherhood? I definitely have. But it feels great to be on the other side of that fence. Do you know a mom that needs to take the Dare to FLY? What is this FLY business? It’s all about learning how to First Love Yourself.
Let’s continue, shall we?
I’ve explained that before I had my third child and became a SAHM, my outward appearance was always on point. But something happened when I left corporate…I just let myself go. Yup I became something I said I never would — a frumpy mom. You know the mom. Her clothes are usually too big, her hair is usually out of place, she usually doesn’t have any make-up on, and she wears…mom jeans *gasps* (Disclaimer: please do not eat or drink while watching the video). Ok so I didn’t technically have mom jeans, but I did have the over-sized sweat pants & t-shirts which are comparable.
But I’m here to tell you that frumpy does NOT have to be synonymous with being a mom. So toss the mom jeans and save your t-shirts for cleaning the house. Once you start letting go of the frumpy you, you will start to reignite, rediscover and reconnect with the true you. It’s amazing what some proper fitting clothes can do to boost your confidence and self-esteem! 🙂
Are you guilty of letting yourself go since you became a mom? Are you ready to take your wardrobe from frumpy to fab without breaking the bank?
If you want more in depth tips on how you can spruce up your existing wardrobe, or create a new one on a budget, then come out and join me at my next workshop on July 13th.
